This role will be responsible for providing first and second line
application of the system. This will entail deployment and technical
problem identification and resolution. There will be an initial
training period which will focus on System Testing in order to acquire
sufficient product knowledge.
Main Activities

Application Support
- Analysis and resolution of issues raised by Clients via the Jira
Client Helpdesk including;
- Identification of faulty software and omissions in functionality
(including debugging code where necessary)
- Correction to data where required on client databases
- Correction of problems caused by incorrect use of application
functionality
- Correction of system configuration faults.
- Informing clients of progress and resolution of issues raised, and
ensuring all problem logs are updated regularly with succinct
technically detailed entries relating all investigations/actions taken
to date.
- The deployment of application code, and the associated configuration
of Web /NT Services.
- Technical housekeeping and administration

Test Analyst
- Creating and running both functional tests and end-to-end system
integration tests;
- Timely escalation of issues, outside the Test Analysts control, to
Project Manager;
- Reviewing and checking all test output, at each stage of the testing
lifecycle for relevant testing projects;
- Check that new errors are in fact errors, not duplication of
existing ones, ensuring all relevant information is provided for
developers and also reviewing, testing and either accepting or
returning to development, bug fixes.
- Ensure timely and accurate metrics are captured and reported, as
stipulated in Overall System Test Strategy for a given test project,
eventually contributing to decisions to cease testing and exit a test
phase.
- Ensure effective maintenance and management of the team's test
assets, (through the test index, test data backups, re-usable test
sets and knowledge management).

proactively resolve issues.


Knowledge

- Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience.
- A strong and detailed knowledge of transfer agency and in particular
the transfer agency products provided by the company.
- Knowledge of the following RDBMS and operating systems:
- SQL Server and/or Oracle Database (maintenance and Support
processes)
- Java
- MS Windows Server
- Linux

Experience

- Proven experience gained in an application support or system test
role within the financial services industry, primarily within transfer
agency.
